Instrumental acoustic folk jam on Wednesday nights every week

I just wanted to let folks know about this; especially if you are new in town. I run a weekly instrumental acoustic folk jam on Wednesday nights every week (Mondays in the summer). This jam has been going for about 15 years. We play fiddle dance tunes: Celtic, Irish, English, New England, French Canadian, and Southern Old-time ... (suitable for contra and square dancing). We also on occasion play waltzes or other couple dance tunes. All instruments welcome.

This is multi-skill level jam to support learning traditional folk tunes. Sheet music and MP3's are available for further study ... NEW musicians always welcome.

I also run a music email list (E-NEWSLETTER) of local acoustic music events - including lots of other open jams in the area and listening opportunities. The volume is about 1-3 messages per week. Some of the other regular jams I list (besides mine) are southern old-time, singing, Irish, Celtic and also occasional open band opportunities for acoustic instruments. I also list gigs that you folks send my way when they are looking for musicians ...
