Ithaca Children and Youth Chorus

The Ithaca Children and Youth Chorus (ICYC) provides weekly instruction in a supportive environment.

Under the artistic direction of composer Katie Ballantyne, ICYC allows each student to grow and practice their musical skills through a culturally diverse repertoire – traditional to contemporary. Students concentrate on building their music literacy, develop sight-reading, vocal technique, and musical notation skills while gaining self-confidence. Each year, participants share their love of music through several community concerts.

Divided into five different groups by age, including the all-ages Ancora ensemble, the chorus is active September through May and students are welcome to join throughout the season.
